Overview
Smoke Free (“the App”) is a quit-smoking companion for iPhone and iPad, published by Nestor Studio. This policy explains what the App stores on your device, what small amount of anonymous data leaves it, which third parties are involved, and what we deliberately do not do.
Short version: your smoking history stays on your device. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking. The App sends anonymous usage statistics, crash reports and purchase status to three service providers — none of it names you.
What the App Stores on Your Device

Nestor Studio operates no server for this data and cannot read it. It is included in your device backup (iCloud or computer) under Apple's terms, and it is deleted when you delete the App.
Data That Leaves Your Device
The App uses three third-party services. Each receives only what is listed here, over an encrypted connection, and none of it is combined with data from other companies or used to build an advertising profile.
Google Analytics for Firebase
Anonymous usage statistics: which screens are opened, when the Premium offer is shown and whether it is accepted, app version, device model, operating system version, country and language. Events are keyed to a random per-installation identifier, not to you, and the App is built without the component that would read the advertising identifier (IDFA). We use this to understand which features are used and whether the Premium offer is clear. Firebase privacy and security · Google Privacy Policy.
Firebase Crashlytics
If the App crashes, a report with the stack trace, device model, operating system version, free memory and a random installation identifier is sent so the fault can be fixed. Crash reports never contain your smoking log or profile.
RevenueCat
Premium is sold as an in-app purchase through the App Store. RevenueCat validates the App Store receipt and tells the App whether Premium is active. It receives an anonymous app user identifier, the transaction identifiers Apple issues, product identifiers, prices and purchase dates — never your name, Apple Account, or payment details, which stay with Apple. Apple
Purchases, subscriptions and refunds are processed by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. If you agree to share diagnostics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may also forward anonymised crash and usage data to us.
What the App Does NOT Do
- No account and no sign-in: we hold no name, email address or phone number for you
- No advertising, no ad networks and no advertising identifier
- No tracking across apps or websites, no data brokers, and no sale or rental of data to anyone
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access
- No access to Apple Health — the health timeline is general information about recovery after quitting, not a reading from your body
Versions of the App before 1.3 displayed banner advertising through Google AdMob and asked for permission to track under App Tracking Transparency. Advertising was removed in 1.3, and no version since has requested or used that permission.
Notifications
Reminders and badge celebrations are local notifications, scheduled on your device. Nothing is pushed from a server and no notification text is transmitted anywhere. The App asks for notification permission at the moment it first has something to show, not on launch, and works fully if you decline.
Retention and Deletion
- On your device: kept until you delete it. Settings → “Delete everything” erases your history inside the App; deleting the App removes everything it stored.
- Analytics and crash data: retained by Google for a limited period under Firebase's default settings. It carries no identifier we can match to a person, so we cannot single out one user's records — and equally cannot hand them to anyone else.
- Purchase records: kept by RevenueCat and Apple for as long as needed to honour your purchase and meet their legal obligations.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights of access, correction, erasure and objection over personal data. Because the App holds your data on your device and the rest is anonymous, most of these you can exercise yourself; for anything else, write to us and we will help, including asking our providers to act where they can.
Age
The App is about tobacco and is rated for adults on the App Store. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
If the App starts collecting something new, this policy will be updated first and the “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes will also be mentioned in the App Store release notes.
