Focusio Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains how Focusio handles information. Focusio helps you organize goals and steps and track focus time. No Focusio account is required.
Goals and focus history
Goals, descriptions, steps, planned and spent time, session history and reminder settings are stored locally on your device. Focusio does not offer iCloud synchronization or operate a server that stores this content. Device backups are controlled by your system settings.
AI planning
Version 1.1.0 adds optional Premium AI planning using Apple Foundation Models. The goal title and description are used to generate a draft that you can review and edit. On-device generation processes that content on your device. If Apple’s Private Cloud Compute is available and used, the request is processed by Apple’s private cloud service. Availability depends on the device, system, language and app configuration. Focusio does not use an OpenAI API key for this feature.
Analytics and subscriptions
Focusio uses Firebase Analytics to understand app usage. Usage events, an app-instance identifier and device and app information may be sent to Google. The app uses the Analytics library without advertising ID support.
RevenueCat manages subscription status and purchase restoration. It processes purchase history, subscription information and an anonymous app-user identifier. Apple handles payment through your Apple Account; Focusio does not receive your payment-card details.
For provider details, see Firebase privacy information and RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Reminders and feature requests
Reminders are scheduled locally after you allow notifications. The optional feature-request screen uses WishKit. WishKit may also process technical app metadata. Requests and information you submit through that service are sent to WishKit; avoid including sensitive information in a request. See WishKit’s privacy policy.
Your choices and data removal
You can edit or delete goals, manage notification permission in device Settings, and use Focusio’s settings to remove reminders or local app data. Deleting local data does not cancel a subscription or automatically delete information retained by external services. Manage subscriptions through your Apple Account. Contact us for questions about information handled by the app or its service providers.
Security and changes
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security. We will post changes to this policy here with an updated date.
